I have decided to implement our own news feed, which I will run in the interim until we accept someone to fill the Fleet Journalist position. This post will be the debute issue of the Frontier News Network, and will let people see an example of what they can expect from the FNN, and give potential Fleet Journalist applicants an idea of the kind of news they will be expected to post on a regular basis.
------ FNN (Frontier News Network) Stardate 90150.27 (17 Jul 12) ------
Construction on the Fleet's new Starbase in Eta Eridani is proceeding well, with the first phase of construction approaching the half-way point. The amount of effort being put in by Frontier Fleet personnel has been nothing less than amazing. Special thanks go to RAdm Janus, the Fleet's Director of Logistics for her devotion to the furthering of the construction project. As always, Captains assigned to Frontier Fleet are encouraged to participate in the defense of the Starbase Construction Project due to its location near the Klingon Neutral Zone. Also reassignment of Duty Officers to lend their expertise to the ongoing projects are an ever increasing requirement.
FNN would like to congratulate Captain Kyle Draig on his recent promotion. Captain Draig has been serving as Captain of the U.S.S. Dresden since 2411, and is filling a Frontier Fleet Staff position as the Records Officer. He is also filling an interim position as the Frontier College Dean of Tactics until someone can be assigned permanently to that post.
In other news, VAdm Robert Graham has reshuffled the Frontier Fleet Organizational Heirarchy, eliminating a number of Staff Positions and reassigning RAdm Kritus tr'Mennes to the post of Director of Public Affairs. Cdre Bymaz Grem remains the XO, and Rear Admirals Alister Nightstar and Janus remain the Directors of Operations and Logistics, respectively. Cdre's Larry Hale and Bam-Bam remain in their positions as Deputy Directors of Personnel and Supply, respectively. There are still a few Deputy Director positions remaining open for application, notably the Deputy Directors of Starbase Operations, Fleet Operations, and Fleet Relations, so if you are interested, APPLY TODAY!
FNN would like to welcome those personnel newly assigned to Frontier Fleet, and remind all Captains to submit their personnel files to the Fleet Records Officer, Capt Kyle Draig under the Service Records heading. Also, please join us on our Subspace Comminications Channel using the Ventrilo protocols on this frequency.
Join us next broadcast for a new weekly special feature, FNN's Spotlight on Staff, an in depth look at the illustrious career of one of Frontier Fleet's most notable Staff Members, beginning with our Commander, Vice Admiral Robert C. Graham. We'll look into his decorated Starfleet career, and have an exclusive interview brought to you courtesy of Frontier News Network.
This is RAdm Kritus tr'Mennes, Director of Public Affairs, for FNN, signing off.
